EMET MISSION STATEMENT
Or
Emet is dedicated to providing opportunities for Jewish religious
observances, education and cultural experiences in an environment
of respect, acceptance, support and encouragement. We
are committed to Tikkun Olam - healing the world - by practicing
Jewish values and ethics.
Or Emet - A Congregation for Jewish
Living is a dynamic synagogue which invites
all participants to share in a wide variety of Judaic experiences.
A warm and welcoming place to gather, worship and study.
Or Emet emphasizes the practice of Jewish values in programs
for all ages.
Under the guidance of our Rabbi, Or Emet offers a range of
religious expression including Friday evening Shabbat services,
weekly Torah study, monthly Havdalah programs and holiday
observance and celebration. Additional classes offered
periodically include holiday preparation workshops, adult
Hebrew and Judaica classes and teen confirmation classes.
Or Emet offers a values-based educational curriculum tailored
for every member of your family. Beginning with Jewish
Mommy and Me, and continuing with Chai Kids, Hebrew School
and Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation, our classes are taught by
highly skilled teachers whose goal is to impart an understanding
of Jewish history, traditions and values in a nurturing and
positive environment.
Many of the exciting and innovative programs offered by Or
Emet are included in your membership package. Your participation
brings you into a strong, supportive community alive with
the spirit of Judaism.
